Company Description

Golden Choice Co., Ltd is a private Vietnamese company established in 2013 with the sole purpose to distribute pharmaceuticals and medical devices in Vietnam. Golden Choice is DKT International strategic partner in family planning, HIV prevention and safe abortion product lines. Under the trademark licensing agreement with DKT International, Golden Choice Co., Ltd has the right to exclusively distribute DKT branded condoms and contraceptive pills, MVA, IUDs and other products across Vietnam.

DKT International (hereafter referred as DKT or DKT Vietnam), a global not-for-private profit organization based in Washington-DC, USA, is one of the world’s largest private providers of family planning, HIV prevention and safe abortion products and services. DKT combines private-sector marketing techniques, cutting-edge technologies, and creative advertising to ensure women and men have the knowledge, products and services they need when required. DKT has offices in 24 countries and covers over 90 markets.

DKT Vietnam, also in charge of the expansion into Cambodia and Laos, and Golden Choice work together to find innovative, impactful and adventurous ways to increase awareness/education as well as access to and availability of high quality, safe and affordable contraceptives to improve Vietnamese, Cambodian and Laos people’s sexual and reproductive health.

Increase the availability and affordability of a full spectrum of modern birth control methods. Strengthen the supply chain to increase availability of contraception and improve method mix variety to cater for different needs of people and markets. Position Summary

The Business Development and Analytics Manager (BDAM) will be responsible for driving business growth; develop a network of contacts to attract new opportunities, partners, clients; research new market opportunities, suppliers and competition and oversee growth projects (including market, territory, and portfolio expansion), making sales projections and forecasting revenue. The BDAM will work in close collaboration with and advise Marketing and Sales Directors and Board of Directors on key facts drawn from own or market analysis and recommendations that may or can influence our business over the medium to long-term future.

Job Responsibilities

The BDAM main responsibilities are, not limited to, described as follow:

Business Development:

  • Developing growth strategies and plans
  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
  • Lead product development holistically from deep market analysis and research to launch and product distribution within the target market
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Writing business proposals
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and stayind up to date with new trends
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
  • Actively participate, contribute and lead in the Brand and Portfolio Development Sessions, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) with the Leadership Team
  • Produce comprehensive and detailed country, industry, market, product, channel etc reports with conclusions and recommendations to inform decision making

Business Analytics:

  • Develop effective business intelligence strategies and analytics solutions.
  • Extracts useful data and other valuable information
  • Designs processes for data analysis
  • Maintains an understanding of business goals and operations
  • Oversees implementation of KPIs
  • Communicate and track key performance metrics across departments.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, review their performance, and manage schedules.
  • Generate reports of findings and present these to senior management.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and policies.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management/administration. Master’s degree in any of these areas or pharmacy is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in similar position or a mix between marketing and sales roles is expected. Regional experience across Southeast Asia is a plus.
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical/medical devices/FMCG industries is essential.
  • Bring along a good network of contacts within our industry/field (ie: pharmacies/pharmacists within traditional and modern trade, doctors/nurses, trainers, government and NGO partners, creative/media agencies, tech companies) that may be crucial to the advancement of our social mission.
  • Understanding of portfolio development, supplier sourcing and management, business case/proposal writing is highly desirable.
  • Proven negotiation and relationship building/management skills is essential.
